Well, here we are again. For those of you reading , I have to let you know about last year,2008. It wasn't the best for the family, or friends. In January we lost Doris' dad Roger, Pretty devastating for her as we had lost her mom the previous April. InAugust, our oldest grandson Tristen was diagnosed with cancer. 24 hours earlier his "other" grandmother was also diagnosed with cancer. She passed on Sept 2nd, Tristen is fighting and winning the battle. Then ther are our friends who have left us. A good buddy and race team-mate, Dan Ramey, joind the eternal race team after a heart attack . He was only 52. Then came Thanksgiving and Christmas. Just before Thanksgiving, one of my really good friends Jim Leiber had a "quad" accident, whicth took his life after surviving for over a month. On Dec 26th, a beautiful woman of only 30 was lost in a car accident in Dallas, Tx. Ivy Cisneros was one of my main contacts in the company I work for, Turbochef. I talked to her almost everyday, she will be missed as will all the others. Also in October I broke/sprained my foot/joint. It is slowly getting better and I hope to return to work soon. I am bloody bored and in constant pain. So much for "workmans comp". Still fighting to get my medical bills paid! That's enough bleating for now, I will write more soon.

Getting Started

Here we are, a new year and wishes for a better one. I have been out of work (broken foot) for almost 3 months and am dying to get back to some sort of normality. On the first of the year we had a family portait taken. Turned out pretty well. The kids got a little bored at first but the photographer was great, he got them to smile on queue and laugh a lot. Only Olivia declared she was "done" before all poses could be shot. I will try to post regularly (weekly) with all the news I can muster from this motley crew of mine.
